SGM fixtures for a timeless place
A park right in the very centre of the city, kept intact through the centuries, is a surprising reality in Venice. The Boscolo has for some time adopted a standard policy of energy saving that resulted in the use of LED fixtures for the entire project. The night illumination project of the complex is particularly recherché, and aims at highlighting the enchanting aspects of this unusual location. The set-up includes LED fixtures and systems of different shapes, positioned in order to create a counterpoint of light sources and beams on the details of which the garden is full: paths, fountains, trees, through to the two architectural facades bounding it on two sides. These last elements form the chromatic background of the project, and are illuminated by a series of Palco 3 with 25° condenser lenses (on the main groups of trees) and 40° (crossing, on the exterior of the architecture). An SGM Pilot 2000 console controls both the LED fixtures disseminated round the garden and the colour-changer fixtures. | The result
The Palco 3 create a combination of light, shadow and suggestions that emphasizes the mystery of a garden full of particularities, places and paths, while the light beams highlight the surface of the walls softly and evenly. During the evening, the garden is transformed into a scenography that has white - both cold and warm – as its key element; when evening turns to night, the lights all change to deep cobalt blue. There is also a special preset for gala evenings, with a very slow complete loop of colour or with scenarios and lights pulsating in the crossover between two ranges of colours close to each other.
