Perfect pre-programming with Regia 2048 Live To match the lighting design to the show’s emotional impact, between gigs it was decide to completely reorganize the rig, replacing fixtures and carrying out significant scenographic changes, such as the inclusion of a new 14 x 8 metre backdrop rear-lit from the floor by fifteen new SGM Palco 3.
Such radical changes to a show on the road always cause some organization difficulties: The biggest for lighting designer Aldo Visentin was to reset an entire design in a very tight time frame and with no possibility of rehearsal. The Regia 2048 Live console proved indispensable in this context: Thanks to the support of WYSIWYG visualization software, it was possible to work at record-breaking speed on the complete, precise virtual pre-programming of new cues for the entire show. During the whole tour, an SGM Regia 2048 Pro backup console was connected to the first console, working along with the “master” desk in real time. | The result The new effects’ cues were stored on the concert’s play list, organized into "song page". All the cues were stored at maximum light output power, then adjusted in real time by means of a set of Group masters. The new interpretation of the lighting communicated the emotions of the songs more effectively to the audience, emphasizing them on stage with graphic effects and colours, which were even more vivid and intense thanks to the use of the Palco 3 on the backdrop.
